I am a Postdoc Researcher in the Machine Learning Group
of Prof. Dr. Ulf Brefeld
at Leuphana University of Lüneburg, Germany.
I was previously a Professor of Computer Science at Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso do Sul (UFMS), Brazil. I am still a member of the Laboratório de Inteligência Artificial (LIA) in UFMS and also a Collaborating Professor in the CS Postgraduate Program of this same institution. Before that I was a lecturer at Instituto Federal de Goiás (IFG), also in Brazil, where some colleagues and I founded the first research and development lab in this institution. I hold a PhD on Machine Learning from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio), Brazil, advised by Prof. Dr. Ruy Luiz Milidiu.
My current research interests are mainly related to Structured Machine Learning methods for Sports Analytics. I am especially interested in movement and action modeling of football players using historical data. I am also interested on Natural Language Processing.
