The first session will introduce you to the topic of machine learning, neural networks, and clarify other buzzwords around the widely discussed topic of artificial Intelligence. We further look into the categories of supervised, unsupervised, reinforcement as well as semi-supervised learning.

With hand-on examples, we give answers to questions like: How do machine learn from data? What is a high-dimensional space? Where do the dimensions in data come from? And what lies on the edge of a non-linear decision-boundary? Together with your peers you will train your first model in a supervised manner using the input of your web-cam and explore its limitations. What can the model learn? When does it work? When does it break?
